PIONEER, TN (WLAF)- Multiple agencies responded to an ATV accident Wednesday evening in an attempt to free the driver after being pinned under the unit.

“One person was injured when the ATV she was riding rolled over in the Royal Blue area,” said Caryville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Eddie Hatmaker. The accident scene was not too far from I-75 Exit 141.
As a result, the patient had to be rescued from under the ATV by members of the La Follette Rescue Squad and was then airlifted by a medical helicopter and transported to a Knoxville hospital.
Caryville Volunteer Fire Department and Police answered the call along with the LRS, Campbell EMS, TWRA and the Tennessee Highway Patrol. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-08/20/2026-6AM-PHOTO SUBMITTED)
