Larry Joe Braden, age 75, of Lake City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born on December 6, 1950, in Lake City, Tennessee, to the late Noah Braden and Hazel Bunch. Larry Joe was a member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church, embracing his Baptist faith throughout his life.

A proud veteran, Larry Joe served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He was passionate about coaching youth sports, enjoyed reading, walking, hunting, fishing, and was an avid sports fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bobbie Seiber Braden; and his siblings, Noah Ray Bunch, Jerry Braden, Billie Lamb, Jennie Green, and Betty Croley.

Larry Joe is survived by his daughter, Taunya Miller, and Jamie; his brothers, Charles Lively and Peggy, Terry Braden and Teresa, Jeff and Sheila Davis; his sisters, Becky Isabell and James, Sandy Spradling and Howard; his grandchild, Tyler Miller; as well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Rev. Archie Seiber officiating.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 9:15 AM at Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel for a procession to Oak Grove Cemetery for a 10:00 AM interment.
