Joanne (Llewellyn) Watts, age 91, passed away on September 14, 2026, at her residence in Jellico, Tennessee. Born on April 5, 1935, Joanne lived a life marked by service, devotion, and care for her family and community.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Morgan (Smith) Llewellyn and Thelma (Wilson) Llewellyn; her beloved husband, Dr. Ned Watts Sr.; her cherished son, Phillip Watts; her grandson, Justin Watts; and her sister, Phillis (Llewellyn) Lay, and husband, Lenwood Lay.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Melissa (Watts) Veach, and husband, Josh Veach, as well as several cousins and other family members and friends who mourn her passing.

Joanne was a blessing to many in her community. Throughout her life, she served on the Campbell County Election Commission, the Jellico Hospital Board of Directors, the Campbell County Democratic Party Treasurer, the Union Bank Board of Directors, the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce, the Dayspring Board of Directors, and the Jellico Planning Commission. She also served as Jellico Tourism Director. Joanne had a true servant’s heart, and she will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, Tennessee, with the Rev. E. Wayne Barton officiating. Family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 5:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Jellico Cemetery.
