Donna Kay (Sweat) Carroll, age 66, of LaFollette

Donna Kay (Sweat) Carroll, age 66, of LaFollette passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Donna deeply loved Jesus, and was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church until her health declined. When asked what beliefs and values guided her life, she replied: “Trying my Best to Live for God”. Donna dearly loved her family and so enjoyed the family get togethers. Music was such an important part of her life, especially gospel music. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing when she was able. Donna also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, watching UT Volunteer Football games, and loved her dogs. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eva Rose (Goins) Sweat, brother, Billy Sweat, and husband, J. Harold Carroll.

She is survived by her son, William Jay Carroll and wife, Jillian; daughter, Eva Michelle (Sweat) Marcum; grandchildren, Reece William Carroll, Shawn Michael Marcum and fiancé, Kaylee Hatfield, and Jocelyn Gross and husband, Jaxon; great-grandson, Asher James Marcum; sister, Rhonda Sweat, and brother, Eddy Sweat and wife, Cathy. Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, many special friends, and her beloved church family.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Chris Allen and Rev. Ronnie Poston officiating. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, 9:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for 10:00 A.M.
