Mildred “Millie” O’Rourke Christopher, age 92, of LaFollette

Mildred “Millie” O’Rourke Christopher, age 92, of LaFollette passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, with family by her side. Millie was born on July 4, 1934, in Campbell County, TN. She worked for the federal government in Washington, DC. where she lived and attended George Washington University and later returned to Campbell County where she worked for REACHS, a health and social services organization, as Benefits Counselor and Outreach Representative. She served many years on the LaFollette Senior Citizens Board of Directors, and on the Black Lung Clinic Advisory Committee, and the Regional Library Board. Millie loved the Lord; enjoyed her work with the church: WMU Director for Missions and long time Sunday School teacher. She loved reading, gardening and enjoying her family.

Preceded in death by parents: Lawrence and Grace (Ballard) Hatmaker, husbands: John O’Rourke, Eugene Wilson and James Christopher, sister: Betty Freeman, brothers: Arnold Hatmaker, Howard Hatmaker

John O’Rourke of LaFollette, Katelyn O’Rourke of San Antonio, Tx., Raegan O’Rourke of San Antonio, Tx., River O’Rourke of Del Rio, Tx.
