
CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- The Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen meets Monday at 6 pm.
Technology upgrades are first on the agenda to be discussed under old business. The town has two proposals for technology upgrades. The first proposal is from VC3 with a one-time cost of $14,066 for equipment and labor, a monthly cost of $2,415.38, and a yearly cost of $28,985.76. The second proposal is from Shafer Tech for $9,204.91 for equipment and labor, a yearly contract for $16,200 or a three-year contract for $12,600. The next item under old business is a discussion and update on permitting for the Veterans Memorial.
Under new business the fire department is requesting to purchase two tri-band handheld radios at a cost of $5,463 each for a total of $10,926. The police department is requesting to purchase a radar unit from Kustom Signals, Inc for $11,894.63.
The final item slated for discussion is a paving proposal from Hwy 63 to the Jacksboro city limit sign for $59,520. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-09/14/2026-6AM)
